A little hole-in-the-wall shawarma shop next to the larger Abo Hassan Grill on Liverpool Road. Quite a limited menu — basically just lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma or falafel served in either a homemade naan or samoon. And chips.
The samoon is a boat-shaped Iraqi bread with a nice crisp crust but the pillowy interior texture of a soft sub roll. Perfect for soaking up meat juices and sauces (make sure to ask for the mango). Filling-wise, the chicken is the pick here, tender but with loads of crispy and chewy bits.
A popular spot, so if you come here in the early evening you might queue for 10 minutes or so.
