Espresso soft serve @ Bold Street Coffee

I personally enjoy coffee a lot, but it really goes no further than that.
Despite only ever drinking it black, I can’t get that excited about types of coffee or methods of making it (we’ve got a drip coffee machine at home not because I think it’s better than a moka or an aeropress or a chemex but because it takes the least effort to use and keep clean).
That said I can get excited about ice cream, so Bold Street Coffee’s espresso soft serve makes me very happy.
Texturally firmer than a Mr Whippy — and depending on the day almost closer to sorbet — this isn’t coffee-flavoured ice cream it’s coffee in ice cream form. And like a good cup of coffee it’s strong but and smooth and difficult to finish quickly (not just because of the potential for brain freeze).
Usually your cup will be sprinkled with a little dark cocoa powder but last easter they added chocolate mini eggs to the top, which was a nice treat.
Be warned, generally the soft serve machine is turned off an hour or so before they close up for the day.
